Where I Was Living Then

I actually lived in Seoul, South Korea again for a year until the beginning of this time period, but I was still living in the states of course.

My vivid memories from that age

Living in South Korea again definitely has to be the highlight of this era. One thing I felt like I missed out ever since I moved to the US is that I never experienced the asian school experience. Though many would say that it isn’t the healthiest experience, it was very impactful for me. I met many fellow students and teachers whom I continue relationships with, my proficiency with the Korean language improved drastically, and most importantly I got to see my parents thrive in their natural environment.

The people, places, or objects that mattered to me

I received letters from my former classmates before I moved back to the states, and it was definitely the most important thing to me then; I cried from reading it too many times to admit.

What I was worried about or excited about

Definitely worried about doing homework and going to academies (the Asian workload was crazy), but definitely excited about hanging out with my Korean friends but also moving back to the states.
